Phil became a partner at TMG in 1997 after joining the practice in 1995 from KPMG's Manchester office.

Phil has a substantial connector base from which he maintains an up to date awareness of funders’ appetite for transactions.   In addition he has developed a successful policy of deal origination activity where quality M&A opportunities are sourced for clients directly; such is the success that this has become a prime area of focus for the whole practice.

Phil has recently advised on a number of high profile transactions in the building products and services industries and continues to provide strategic advice to these clients.

Lee joined TMG in September 1996 and was appointed a Partner in April 2003.  He is responsible for generating and project managing corporate finance assignments.

Lee’s accountancy career has been exclusively focussed on the owner-managed sector, commencing in 1989 when he joined a Liverpool audit practice. After two years he moved to a practice specialising in corporate recovery and later qualified as a Certified Accountant in 1995.

Lee’s role is focused predominantly on MBIs, MBOs, corporate acquisitions and advisory work. The majority of his current portfolio of clients operate in the manufacturing sector. In addition he enjoys significant success at deal origination where he is using the firm’s research resource to unearth attractive disposal opportunities for clients

Julian trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG.  During his time with KPMG, Julian gained valuable public and private company experience through both their Assurance & Advisory team, and then Mergers & Acquisitions team which he joined in June 2000. 

In October 2001, Julian joined Ernst & Young’s well respected M&A team in Manchester, continuing to gain experience on a wide variety of transactions with clients ranging from food manufacturers through to bridging finance companies.

Julian joined TMG in September 2003, and was appointed a Partner in July 2007.  Since joining TMG, Julian has been key to the successful completion of a broad spectrum of deals including MBO’s, MBI’s, PTP’s, refinancing  and disposals of businesses.

Nick qualified as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen in 2000 after graduating from Warwick University with a BSc in Mathematics. During his time at Arthur Andersen he gained extensive experience in business advisory and transaction services for both public and private companies.

Nick first joined TMG in 2000 and has completed a significant number of corporate acquisitions, mergers, MBOs, MBIs, disposals and development fundraisings in a broad range of sectors from manufacturing through to financial services.

In 2005, Nick left TMG to join Zeus Capital where he focussed on public market transactions including flotations, reverse takeovers and placings. He was also key to an acquisition for the Zeus Group.

Nick rejoined TMG in January 2007 as an Associate Director.

Michael graduated from Durham University in 2000 with a degree in Politics.  He commenced his career with Baker Tilly in Liverpool, where he gained extensive experience of the owner managed business sector as a member of their audit department.

Following his qualification as a chartered accountant and after completing his 3 year Chartered Accountancy training contract with Baker Tilly, Michael joined TMG in September 2003. Since joining TMG, Michael has worked on a number of transactions including MBO’s, MBI’s, fundraising, acquisitions and disposals.

These transactions have spanned many market sectors including manufacturing, telecommunications, aircraft finance, property development, retail and logsitics.

Kirsty graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1998 with a degree in Biotechnology. She then worked at the Royal Bank of Scotland for 18 months before leaving to complete a post-graduate qualification in Information Management at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Formally an Analyst at Tenon Livingstone Guarantee, Kirsty joined TMG in March 2003 where she is responsible for the research department.  Her role involves working on behalf of clients to identify trade purchasers and corporate acquisitions, as well as identifying new corporate finance opportunities to provide TMG with proprietary deal flow. In November 2004, Kirsty gained a Certificate in Corporate Finance from the Securities and Investment Institute.

Jude graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2003 with a degree in Business.  Prior to joining TMG in March 2006, Jude worked as a Trainee Researcher for Armstrong Craven.  Whilst there she worked in the Knowledge & Information Services department  undertaking research activities to support the executive search and business development teams.  Jude also worked within the Executive Search department undertaking the professional search service within the industrial, financial services and professional services sectors.

Jude is a part of the Research team and her role involves identifying trade purchasers and corporate acquisitions on behalf of clients and identifying new corporate finance opportunities.
